For the past seven years, he has been the director of Stichting Collectieve Propaganda van het Nederlandse Boek (CPNB). As managing director, he will be responsible for the vision, strategy and policy of Sound and Vision, where the focus is on media culture. Van Nispen tot Sevenaer succeeds Jan Müller, who left his position as director on 1 October 2017.

Prior to his directorship with CPNB, Van Nispen tot Sevenaer was director of the Public Library in Delft (DOK). Under his leadership, DOK was acknowledged as being the most modern library in the world. In various positions, he was also involved in the development of television programmes, for both public broadcasting companies and commercial ones. He is currently engaged in various additional activities. For instance, he is a member of several advisory councils, such as Mediawijzer.net, Prince Claus Fund, NTR and TEDx Delft.

With over 30 years of relevant management and board experience, Eppo is the ideal person to take Sound and Vision into the next phase, also with a view to the modernisation of the museum. His knowledge and enthusiasm make him a truly welcome asset in positioning Sound and Vision as an institute for media culture. Guusje ter Horst, chair of the supervisory council of Sound and Vision
I take up the position at Sound and Vision with great pleasure and energy. It’s a wonderful institute with exciting challenges. Everything I’ve been involved with in my working life comes together here – in the use of media in all its forms for telling stories. The past – in the form of a unique collection – forms the starting point for reflecting on media and the use of those media in the future. And it all takes place literally at the heart of our media landscape. To take Sound and Vision and all its employees from strength to strength is a fantastic task. Eppo van Nispen tot Sevenaer

The Sound and Vision Management Team also comprises Ineke Middag, unit manager Museum, Tom De Smet, unit manager Archive, and Daniël Mogendorff, unit manager Operational Management.

Eppo van Nispen tot Sevenaer will take up his position on 1 February 2018. Until then, Tom De Smet will be deputising as managing director.
